He claimed it was a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, perfect for grand gatherings. While we're not entirely sure about the original ingredients (he was a bit cagey about where he sourced his gingerbread, the concept was intriguing.
So, in the spirit of all things joyous, we've taken our esteemed collaborator's unique concoction and made it ready for any season, really. Man, we don't even have seasons here in the Philippines, do we? Let me rephrase, ehem. We just found the perfect drink to warm your soul rain or shine, for typhoons or heatwaves! Here at Allo Coffee Roasters, we're always pushing the boundaries of what coffee can do, and this time, we're diving into the cozy, comforting world of the Gingerbread Latte. Get ready to spice up your everyday!

With that out of the way, let's continue!
Straight up, the Recipe
Ingredients
- Brown Sugar: 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon: 1 tsp
- Nutmeg: 1 tsp
- Ginger Powder: 1 tsp
- Espresso: Your preferred Allo Coffee Roasters blend (we recommend our First Tide for a great base!)
- Milk of Choice: (dairy or non-dairy, whatever you prefer for your latte!)
- Whipped Cream: For topping (optional, but highly recommended!)
- Nutmeg: A little extra dusting for garnish

Prepare Spice Mix: In your mug, combine 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon of ginger powder. (Please don't bake gingerbread men for the sole purpose of grounding them for this drink!)

Mix with Espresso: Pull your espresso shot(s) and pour it directly into the mug with the spice mix. Stir well until the sugar dissolves and the spices are fully incorporated.

Add Milk: Steam your milk of choice (or heat it gently on the stovetop) and pour it into your mug, combining with the espresso and spice mixture. Stir gently.
- Garnish & Serve: Top generously with whipped cream and finish with a light dusting of nutmeg. Serve immediately and enjoy the festive warmth!
Our Take: A Cookie in a Cup!
As expected, the carefully balanced spices truly made this drink stand out. It might seem a little unusual at first to add so many spices directly into a coffee drink, but trust us on this one: it tastes just like a gingerbread cookie in liquid form! The warmth from the ginger, the cozy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, all perfectly complement the rich coffee. It's comforting, aromatic, and undeniably festive. There's an uncontested, almost spirited flavor to it that even lords, ladies, and any noble would undoubtedly enjoy!
